New Frankley in Birmingham Parish Council, Building a better community
Welcome to the New Frankley in Birmingham Parish Council

The Frankley Centre

The Centre consists of the Holly Hill Shopping Parade (including the properties above the shops), the Leisure Centre, the Community Library, the Frankley Community High Schoool and the Holly Hill Infant and Nursery School and the Health Centre. Also included are three undeveloped areas of land behind the shopping parade - referred to in Planning Documents as Sites A, B and C. A fourth site to the east of Arden Road has been developed with a number of small light industrial units.

Initially, Frankley residents sought the development of the undeveloped land behind the shopping parade which had been left vacant when the Estate was built in the mid 70's. However, because of the continuing decline of the shopping parade, the Parish Council is now seeking a comprehensive development package which will address all of its concerns with regard to the Centre.
