Grant Applications

Under the provisions of Section 137 of the 1972 Local Government Act the Parish Council is permitted to spend up to a prescribed amount for any purpose which in the opinion of the Council is in the interest or will directly benefit the area or its residents. The  limit as from 1April 2010 is £6.15 times the number of local government electors for the locality on 1^st January before the commencement of the current financial year.

The Council therefore welcomes applications from Voluntary/Community organisations within the parish for grants the expenditure of which will, in the opinion of the Council, benefit either the parish or its residents. Grants cannot be used for political purposes.
