Frankley Neighbourhood Forum (FNF)

The Forum consists of local residents promoting the interests of the area. It is the place where you can give and receive opinions on any matter, including those below.

Frankley Street Champions (FSC)

A group of volunteers arranging litter picks in the Frankley area. The volunteers deal with fly tipping and other environmental issues in the Parish.

Waterside Care (WsC)

WsC is an offshot of FSC that specialises in dealing with the banks of the River Rea and other water courses.

Frankley Carnival Committee

The Committee organises and promotes the annual Frankley Carnival in addition to other community events such as Halloween and an Easter Egg Hunt.

Balaam’s Wood Management Committee

The voluntary friends group, and management committee, support the Birmingham City Council Ranger Service to maintain and improve Balaam’s Wood Local Nature Reserve.

Frankley and Cockhill Housing Liaison Board (HLB)

HLBs primarily recruits BCC tenants but are open to all residenst. The Board meets monthly to review the satet of BCC Housing and land. It has an annual budget of approximately £15,000 with which to improve the environment and tenant participation.

Neighbourhood Watch

NHW meets every 5 to 6 weeks at Hollymoor Centre off Tessal Lane. The meeting follows the Police Tasking Meeting and gives residenst the opportunity to talk to the local community police and make their own plans to deter crime. There are currently 7 co-ordinators in New Frankley Parish.

Reaside Community Centre

The Monday Club for the over 60’s meets once a week 12pm to 2.30pm at a cost of £3 per person . Ti-Chi, bingo, activities and  trips out etc. (we can arrange for Ring and Ride to pick you up)

Children’s two hour party with disco only £40 (a £10 non-refundable deposit required).
